Reconciliation Action Plan
AEMO’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) builds on the foundations established through our inaugural Reflect RAP and marks the next stage of our reconciliation journey.
The Innovate RAP reflects AEMO’s purpose to enable safe, reliable and affordable energy for all Australians and embeds reconciliation more deeply into how we plan, develop and collaborate across the energy industry.
The RAP considers the livelihoods of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia, recognising how the energy sector can influence wellbeing, cultural connection and socio-economic opportunity for Australia’s First Peoples. It recognises that we have a responsibility to support an equitable and inclusive energy transition that creates lasting benefits, including increased energy access, economic participation, and self-determination for First Nations people and communities.
Reconciliation requires sustained commitment, collaboration, and reflection. By honouring Country and respecting First Nations peoples’ cultures, we will contribute to a more connected, inclusive, and sustainable energy future for all Australians.
