AEMO Operations

The MTPASA results published on 4 November 2025 identify annual unserved energy exceeding the Reliability Standard between:
-- November 2026 - November 2027 in New South Wales.

AEMO declares Low Reserve Conditions in accordance with clause 4.8.4 of the National Electricity Rules for the following region(s) and period(s):
-- August 2027 - October 2027 in New South Wales
when forecast demand exceeds supply under some circumstances.

This MT PASA has been updated to be consistent with the Generation Information published on 31 October 2025.

MTPASA informs the market of potential reliability issues to allow the market to respond in the first instance, potentially avoiding the need for any AEMO intervention.

The minimum capacity reserve available is 1024 MW.

AEMO is seeking a market response.

AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.
