Application and Recruitment Process
Applications for AEMO’s Graduate Program have now closed. Keep an eye out for our applications re-opening in early 2027.
AEMO’s application process is considered and focused to understand your skills, experience and interest. The process is designed for us to engage with you and you to engage with us.

Complete application
Applications are assessed based on the eligibility criteria detailed in the online application.

Gamified assessment
If you are successful, you will be asked to complete a gamified assessment, which will look at your alignment to the rotational program and AEMOs values.

Online interview
Using an online platform, you will be prompted with several timed questions, to better understand your motivations for joining AEMO and the energy sector.

In person assessment centre
You will be invited to attend one of our assessment centres. It will require your attendance for half a day and will include group and individual assessments.

Pre-employment checks & Offers
Following the assessment centres, we will do our best to come back to you promptly and advise if you have been successful for the program. If successful, we will progress quickly to pre-employment checks and Letters of Offer.
