Clean versions of the amended RMP (VIC) will be available on AEMO website by the proposed effective date of 29 May 2026.
Final Decision
The date on which these changes will take effect will be published in a separate notice (Notice of Effective Date). Updated versions of the Retail Market Procedures - Victoria will be published on the AEMO website prior to the effective date.
Notice of Time Limit Extension

AEMO has published a Notice of Time Limit Extension that grants AEMO until 15 July 2026 to publish either an updated IIR or NoD for the initiative IN011/13 in Package 2 Vic RMP Changes (Part B).
Multinet Gas Network’s feedback has raised matters that warrant further examination by AEMO to ensure the new chapter 8 provisions are fit for purpose and, as a result, AEMO considers that the proposal has raised questions of complexity or difficulty that an extension of the time limit is justified, as per NGR clause 135EG(a).

Notice of Time Limit Extension

AEMO has published a second Notice of Time Limit Extension that grants AEMO until 15 December 2025 to publish the IIR for 2024 Package 2 (VIC RMP changes).
AEMO has identified that resolution of issues with GPV is taking longer than previously expected. This was due to non-availability of resources from AEMO as well as GPV.

AEMO has published a Notice of Time Limit Extension that grants AEMO until 31 October 2025 to publish either the revised PPC or the IIR for 2024 Package 2 (VIC RMP changes).
AEMO has determined it would be difficult for AEMO to resolve matters related to consulting with the Transmission System Service Provider for the Grampians network within the timeframe to prepare the IIR as per NGR clause 135ED, which means that the proposal has raised questions of difficulty that an extension of the time limit is justified, as per NGR clause 135EG(a)

AEMO has published a proposed procedure change (PPC) for 2024 Package 2 (Victorian Retail Market Procedure (RMP)) changes for the following initiatives:
- IN011/13 – Resolves a regulatory gap in RMP related to Non Declared Transmission System (DTS) interval metering.
- IN006/20 - Improves the definition of “Customer” so it is similar to other east coast gas retail markets.
