AEMO has commenced a consultation to notify interested parties of changes which are proposed to AEMO’s Generator or Integrated Resource Provider Performance Standards (GPS) Template. The changes are to account for National Electricity Amendment (Improving the NEM access standards - Package 1) Rule 2025 No. 6, commencing 21 August 2025. The access standards underlying the GPS Template may be subject to further amendment resulting from other ongoing reviews or consultation processes. The GPS Template changes currently proposed by AEMO focus only on the access standards specified in NER schedule 5.2 introduced or amended by Rule 2025 No. 6 and other minor and administrative changes.

AEMO has prepared an Information Paper to inform stakeholders of the proposed GPS Template changes and to facilitate their feedback.
