Delegation visit enquiry
Delegation visit enquiry
AEMO values the opportunity to share insights about our work and Australia’s energy transition. Each month we receive a significant number of requests from groups wanting to visit and learn from our people. While we welcome this interest and accommodate visits where possible, our primary responsibility is to keep the lights on and gas flowing—delivering safe, reliable, and affordable energy for all Australians. Given these priorities, delegation requests are assessed carefully to ensure they align with our core commitments and team availability.
Before you submit a request
Before asking us to host a delegation, please review our industry courses to see if one of these meets your needs. Developed and delivered by AEMO experts, these programs cover topics such as the National Electricity Market (NEM), gas markets, operational forecasting, and specialised training on the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM). Most courses are interactive and face-to-face, with flexible durations to suit different needs, and we also offer shorter online options for added convenience.
If you are interested in one of these courses, but it is not scheduled at a time relevant for you, please contact the Energy Education team at [email protected] and they may be able to arrange an additional session.
When we can host delegations
Between September and February, many of our teams are focused on critical operational priorities. During this period, our ability to host delegations is very limited and only possible in exceptional circumstances. To ensure the best experience, we recommend requesting visits outside this timeframe whenever possible.
Delegation request form
If our courses don’t meet your needs and you’d still like to request a visit, please complete the below Delegation request form - including as much detail and notice as possible to help us assess and accommodate your request.
Depending on the nature of the visit, delegates may also need to undergo a security assessment, which will be confirmed during the approval process.
