AEMO issued directions to generators in New South Wales during billing week 48.

Independent Expert Report

In accordance with NER Clause 3.15.7A (h), AEMO is required to appoint an Independent Expert to assess and determine the fair compensation claims for the Directed participant that exceeds the $20,000 threshold and exceeds the $100,000 aggregate threshold.

AEMO nominated an Independent Expert on 22 January 2025 with no objections received. AEMO then appointed Euan Morton from Synergies Economic Consulting Pty Ltd as the Independent Expert to determine compensation.

AEMO Determination Report

In accordance with NER Clauses 3.15.7A(h) and 3.15.7A(k), where the value of a fair payment compensation claim is less than $20,000, the claim is reasonable and does not involve issues of complexity or difficulty, AEMO must assess and determine the compensation claim.
