Independent Expert Report - Direction to SA generator during billing week 1 2026

AEMO issued direction to generator in South Australia during billing week 01 2026.

In accordance with NER Clause 3.15.7A (h), AEMO is required to appoint an Independent Expert to assess and determine the fair payment compensation claims for the Directed participant that is equal to or exceeds the $20,000 threshold, is considered unreasonable by AEMO or involves issues of complexity.

AEMO nominated an Independent Expert on 3 March 2026 with no objections received. AEMO then appointed Sami Aoude from Intelligent Energy Systems Pty Ltd as the Independent Expert to determine compensation.
