Published every two years, the Integrated System Plan (ISP) is one of the Australian Energy Market Operator’s (AEMO) key planning documents. We are now halfway through the 2026 ISP development process, and we would like to hear your feedback.

In the past year, AEMO has engaged with stakeholders to develop a number of critical inputs to the development of the 2026 ISP, including:
- ISP Methodology: refined through consultation to ensure our ISP modelling and cost benefit analysis approaches are robust and aligned with Australia’s energy transition.
- 2025 Inputs, Assumptions and Scenarios Report: outlines the scenarios, modelling inputs and assumptions that AEMO will use in its forecasting and planning activities.
- 2025 Electricity Network Options Report: identifies potential augmentation options in electricity networks within the National Electricity Market.
- 2025 Gas Infrastructure Options Report: outlines the gas infrastructure options and gas infrastructure cost components that will inform gas development projections.
