In accordance with rule 5.20A of the National Electricity Rules (NER), AEMO is required to undertake a General Power System Risk Review (GPSRR) and prepare a GPSRR report for the National Electricity Market (NEM) at least annually.

AEMO has now completed the approach paper consultation. This is the first stage in publishing the 2026 GPSRR report by 31 July 2026.
