AEMO is an independent organisation that operates on a user-pays cost-recovery basis, with all operating costs recovered through fees paid by industry participants. Our ownership is shared between government and industry.
When applying for Certified Reserve Capacity (CRC) for the upcoming Reserve Capacity Cycle under section 4.10 of the Electricity System and Market Rules (ESM Rules), Market Participants are encouraged to make note of the guiding principles below that AEMO will consider in assessing the validity of the fuel sufficiency of the CRC application under section 4.10 of the ESM Rules.
