IFC and IFTT Assessment

AEMO will undertake the IFC and IFTT assessments on a case-by-case basis, taking into account, but not limited to the:

• Facility Class requested by Market Participant*
• Facility Technology Type(s) requested by Market Participant*
• Configuration of the Facility
• Assignment criteria outlined in Section 4 of WEM Procedure: Indicative Facility Class

*Each Facility Class and Facility Technology Type imposes distinct obligations under the ESM Rules. Failure to nominate the appropriate IFC and IFTT may result in an unsuccessful IFC and IFTT assignment or even an unsuccessful CRC application. Therefore, proponents must understand their Facility’s configuration and the associated obligations of the IFC and IFTT assignments.
