IFC and IFTT Applications
Pre-requisites for IFC and IFTT applications
Prior to the assignment of indicative Facility Class (IFC) and indicative Facility Technology Type (IFTT) in the Wholesale Electricity Market System (WEMS) portal, all applicants must first complete the registration process:
- Register as a Market Participant in WEMS - the timeframe for the registration of a new Market Participant is 20 Business Days (clause 2.31.10(b) of the Electricity System and Market (ESM) Rules).
- Lodge a Candidate Facility creation form – the timeframe for processing a Candidate Facility creation form is 15 Business Days.
Note: A Market Participant registration and Candidate Facility creation cannot be processed concurrently. Applicants must allow sufficient time for registration as a Market Participant to be finalised before a Candidate Facility creation form can be processed.
For queries related to the registration process, please refer to the Registration page or contact the WA Registrations, Monitoring and Procurement (WA RMP) team at [email protected].
Important: A Candidate Facility must be created in WEMS before a Certified Reserve Capacity (CRC) application can be submitted.
